here's the system we're watching, dropping into northern california already. this will be the source of rainfall for tonight, especially as i mentioned after 8:00. definitely some more clouds in the short term rainfall develops for tonight. as far as forecast expectations, remember a week ago, we're talking about several inches of rainfall tonight and into tomorrow morning. a fraction of that. a few hundredths to possibly .5 for north bay hills. central portions of the bay dropping to about .25 in the south bay. about .500 or .10 with the system moving into the region late tonight and into tomorrow morning. here's the forecast model. at 7:00, not a lot of cltion. but mist and drizzle. tonight at 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, 11:00, increase in coverage across the region and in intensity as well for san francisco, possibly san mateo, oakland and concord. and then overnight, this might wake you up with the rain pushing into the south bay early sunday morning at 3:00, 4:00. and the rest of the day we're dry and sunday with mostly sunny skies. and really no more strong storm

looks like it's headed into northern california and it will head there but then a wave developments in the atmosphere. a little low pressure system will drive it south tomorrow so everybody gets good rain tomorrow night at this time. on the futurecast, a half foot of snow in the north -- a half foot of rain in the north bay and one to two inches of rain in the south bay by the time all is done monday morning. flood alerts on monday, flood warnings in sonoma county for just rising on the streams and creeks. they are getting high down there. this is not like a river flood warning but nevertheless be advised until 7:45 tonight. good news for petaluma and rohnert park is the rains are easing up out there. in the sierra they have a lot of snow to contend with finally, snow above 6,000 feet. the biggest snow of the season from 2 to 4 feet expected above 7,000 feet. that's high snow level because the source of this is fairly warm. wind gusts up to 45 miles per hour. 70-mile-an-hour wind gusts in the northern sierra. for rainfall totals, these are 24-hour totals around the peninsula, mostly ar
